Recently I have been taking Zinc Supplements on a regular basis and it has given me amazing results ヘ( ^o^)ノ
Due to my new training routine I have been feeling very tired every morning. It has made it difficult to wake up and I always thought it was natural to let the body rest more from the exercise. Turns out that due to my training my body has been consuming more Zinc than normal causing Zinc deficiency. By taking Zinc before sleep, I have been waking up feeling refreshed in only 6 hours of sleep. That is an amazing life changing discovery. I have always hated those morning persons who wake up early everyday and now I can be just like them.
The science says that Zinc is needed for all kinds of metabolic functions in recovery. The body has no natural storage for Zinc so all the Zinc is flushed out of the body everyday, making it a daily necessity to intake more Zinc. Zinc can be found in meat so the more vegetarian diet has also been cause for Zinc deficiency.
Be careful though too much Zinc over a long period of time is toxic and causes Copper deficiency. Symptoms include nausea, intense fatigue, vomiting, diarrhea, anemia, loss of breath, hair loss.
The National Institutes of Health considers 40 mg of zinc a day to be the upper limit dose for adults and 4 mg of zinc a day for infants under age 6 months. Don't use intracranial zinc. This form of zinc has been linked with the loss of the sense of smell. Elderly people are often affected by Zinc and Copper deficiency and can many issues due to lower and reduced efficiency in intake.
Magnesium defiance causes loss of apatite, fatigue, weakness, nausea, vomiting. Adults need about 400 mg per day and its not easy to consume this amount of food if you are already suffering from a loss of apatite.
I bought it from my local grocery market and gym store.
450 mg Magnesium
30 mg Zinc
This is the recommended daily ratio. Zinc and Magnesium work together so any other ratio may have negligible results.
I skip Zinc some days so that I have a few days where the body can stock up on Copper. So I will take every Saturday, Sunday, Monday as I usually only have problem during weekends to maintain sleep rhythm.
The science says that 60% of people suffer from Zinc and Magnesium deficiency to some degree and I think I was one of them. I think that is why I feel like I am optimal when all my deficiency are supplemented. I exercise often, eat less meat and generally eat poorly and so I definitely fall into the risk group.
